Tribute to Jean Roux – Occitan culture and the Troubadours

From Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7 February, Ribérac will be vibrating to the rhythm of Occitan culture as part of the Hommage à Jean Roux, an unmissable cultural and festive event bringing together young and old with a rich, varied and convivial programme.

On the programme:

– Cinema in Occitan with the screening of Asterix: The Domain of the Gods
– Readings and concerts

– Readings and fun workshops, such as Kamishibaï sessions in Occitan or illumination workshops offered by the Archives Départementales.

– Social events, including the “Café Oc” for discussions on local culture.

– Concerts and traditional music to the sound of Occitan rhythms during an After wok evening.
– A variety of exhibitions on the region.

– Various exhibitions on themes such as Périgord, land of the troubadours and the history of the media library.

– Conferences and workshops for the general public.
