Traditional Dance – Folk Dance

Bal Trad: Bal Folk with Gilles de Becdelièvre: diatonic accordion, vocals.

To the sound of the accordion and his voice, Gilles performs melodies from his native region, the Périgord, and the surrounding areas of Quercy, Limousin and Gascony. He plays the rhythms of bourrées, rondes and sautières. He sings in the Occitan of yesteryear, performing century-old waltzes and mazurkas. And forgotten tunes are brought back to life, fuelling the enthusiasm for contemporary folk dancing.
