Commemoration: “Tribute to the families deported during the Angoulême Jewish Round-up”

On Thursday 8 October, Commemorations: ‘TRIBUTE TO THE FAMILIES DEPORTED IN THE ANGOULEME JEWISH RAID’ at 5.30 pm in Saint-Michel-Léparon, and at 6.00 pm in Saint-Michel-de-Rivière.

6.15 pm: Welcome at the Foyer Rural by Karen Taïeb, curator of the Shoah Memorial.

The Mayor will present her with the documents and archives that have enabled the remembrance work carried out in La Roche-Chalais since 2022 and will invite her to present her latest book on the story of the letter by Hersz-Herman Strasfogel, a letter found buried at Auschwitz-Birkenau.
