Village de Saint-Michel de Rivière

Saint-Michel de Rivière is located in the commune of La Roche-Chalais.

In the central square, you can admire the medieval church of Saint Michel, whose façade has been listed as a historic monument since 1925. Right next to the church, a fountain known as “la Fontaine de la Dévotion” (the Fountain of Devotion) is said to be “miraculous”.

In 2024, a community orchard was inaugurated. This orchard is made up of 70 varieties of fruit trees and promotes living together and sharing. Explanatory panels have been installed.
