La Pierre de Champmartin

The Champmartin stone marked the boundary between the seigneuries of Saint-Aulaye, Montpon and Fronsac. This rectangular stone measured 5 to 6 feet in height, and was made of “pierre de grison”, a local stone from the Double region.

The 15th-century stone was removed and a stele was installed and inaugurated in September 2022.
