Village de Servanches
Servanches
Situated in the heart of the Double forest, in the 12th century Servanches had an “espital” belonging to Saint John of Jerusalem. Many pilgrims stopped here on their way to Santiago de Compostela, crossing the Double on their way to Santiago de Compostela.
You too can make a stop here today. The village is a haven of peace and tranquillity, with its lakes and streams classified as a Natura 2000 site, and its centuries-old oak forest.
Sample the local specialities at the La Clairière restaurant (booking essential) and try the Dobla (local beer).
