Village de Parcoul
Parcoul
Parcoul borders on the Charente department. In 1790, when the départements were created, the commune briefly belonged to Charente-Inférieure (now Charente-Maritime), before finally joining the Dordogne. The architecture of some of the houses suggests that Parcoul was once a fortified town. Don’t miss the church of Saint-Martin, listed as a historic monument since 1979.
The Doublet family welcomes you to their shop, where you can admire or buy their pottery.
Mrs Besnard (Atelier Ecologicart) will welcome you and show you her works made from recycled products.
At the bottom of the village, there is a canoe base where you can sail on the Dronne during the summer months.
