Museum of tools and village life in Saint-Privat des Près

Created in 1982, the Museum of Tools and Village Life brings together a large number of objects illustrating village life, enabling old-timers to step back into the past and young people to discover a way of life that is very different from the one they know today.

Several sections of the museum present different activities: clog-maker, butcher, cooper, forge, school, etc… The upper room recreates a typical living room on a local farm.

Just next door you will find the Miniature Heritage Museum, featuring 1/100 scale models of castles and cathedrals. There is also an exhibition of butterflies.

Visits by prior arrangement. Open in summer.
