La roche-chalais
Church dating from the 12th century. The magnificent Romanesque façade in the saintongeais style remains from this period. The modillions and sculpted scenes are very well preserved.
In the 15th and 16th centuries, the nave and chevet were rebuilt.
In the 17th century, a portal was added to a side wall and a bell tower was added to the 12th-century facade.
In the 18th century, the church was rebuilt in the style of the saintongeais.
