Bastide de Saint-Aulaye

Saint-Aulaye is the only bastide town in the Périgord Vert and Val de Dronne. A “street” bastide, it is organised around the Place Pasteur and the Docteur Lacroix shopping street. Founded in 1288 by Pierre de Brémond father and son, the town has a rich and varied heritage to discover.

Take a stroll along the cobbled streets to discover the Romanesque church from the 12th century, the bridge from the 14th century, the castle from the 13th and 19th centuries, the ramparts from the 14th century and the houses dating from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Its discovery trail is listed as one of the 10 most beautiful trails in Périgord.
