Site départemental du Grand Etang de La Jemaye

A sensitive natural area, the Jemaye ponds have been the subject of a vast renovation project that respects their natural setting. Located in the heart of La Double, this area is ideal for discovering nature, with a circuit, a fitness trail, walking trails and an observatory. In summer, the Grand Etang is a great place for water sports, with supervised swimming and children’s play areas. A picnic and restaurant area is also available.

A signposted path links the site to the Parcot farm, another jewel in the Double’s crown.

The Grand Etang de la Jemaye is part of the network of sensitive natural areas in the Périgord region. This structure is labelled “Tourism and Disability” for the four types of disability.

In summer, you can take bus line 2B from Mussidan to Ribérac for €4.10/person (return ticket).
