Abbey of Our Lady of Good Hope

Echourgnac Abbey, a place of silence and nature conducive to rejuvenation, welcomes you all year round. 21 nuns live in this monastery, which remains a private place to live and work.

Renovated in 2018, the abbey church is faithful to the Cistercian style, marked by simplicity and sobriety.

In the monastic craft shop, you&#8217ll find our cheeses and confectionery, as well as other products from France&#8217s monasteries and local producers. A permanent exhibition explains the history of the abbey and the life of the nuns. The surrounding woods offer a number of walks, including a Terra Aventura trail. A car park and shaded picnic area await you for a rejuvenating break.
